【摘要】:Mostoxidesofnitrogenareformedduringhigh-temperaturecombustion.TheEnvironmentalProtectionAgency(EPA)hassetprimaryandsecondaryairqualitystandardsforNO2thataredesignedtoprotectthepublichealthandthepublicwelfare(40CFR,Part50).Oxidesofnitrogenaregeneratedbymanyindustrialprocessesthatcanresultinemployeeexposures.TheseareregulatedbytheOccupationalSafetyandHealthAdministration(OSHA)whichhaspromulgatedexposurelimitsfortheindustrialworkingenvironment(29CFR,Part1910).Thesemethodshavebeenfoundsatisfactoryformeasuringoxidesofnitrogenintheambientandworkplaceatmosphereovertherangesshownin1.1.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverproceduresforthecontinuousdeterminationoftotalnitrogendioxide(NO2)andnitricoxide(NO)asNOx,ornitricoxide(NO)aloneornitrogendioxide(NO2)alone,intherangesshowninthefollowingtable:RangeofConcentrationGasAmbientAtmosphereWorkplaceAtmosphereg/m3(ppm)(Note1)mg/m3(ppm)(NOTE1)NO10to600(0.01to0.5)0.6to30(0.5to25)(NO+NO2)=NOx20to1000(0.01to0.05)1to50(0.5to25)NO220to1000(0.01to0.5)1to50(0.5to25)
