【摘要】:Thisguideprovidesinformation,procedures,andrequirementsformanagementandoperationofdispersantsprayapplicationequipment(boomandnozzlesystems)inoilspillresponse.Thisguideprovidesinformationonrequirementsforstorageandmaintenanceofdispersantsprayequipmentandassociatedmaterials.Thisguidewillaidoperatorsinensuringthatadispersantsprayoperationiscarriedoutinaneffectivemanner.1.1Thisguidecoversconsiderationsforthemaintenance,storage,anduseofoilspilldispersantapplicationsystems.1.2Thisguideisapplicabletospraysystemsemployingboomsandnozzlesandnottoothersystemssuchasfiremonitorsorsingle-pointspraysystems.1.3Thisguideisapplicabletosystemsemployedonshipsorboatsandhelicoptersorairplanes.1.4Thisguideisoneoffiverelatedtodispersantapplicationsystems.GuideF1413coversdesign,PracticeF1460coverscalibration,TestMethodF1738coversdeposition,GuideF1737coverstheuseofthesystems,andGuideF2465coversthedesignandspecificationforsingle-pointspraysystems.Familiaritywithallfivestandardsisrecommended.1.5ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
