【摘要】:ThisEuropeanStandardspecifiesrequirementsforchemicalandphysicalproperties,andminimumperformancerequirementsoflowexpansionfoamssuitableforsurfaceapplicationtowater-miscibleliquids.Requirementsarealsogivenformarking.IMPORTANTNOTE:InthispartoftheEuropeanStandard,thefireperformanceistestedusingacetoneasthefuel,whichalsoformsthebasisfortheperformanceclassification.However,therearealargenumberofwater-miscibleliquidswhichhavedifferentpropertiestoacetone.Ithasbeenshownbytestsusingotherfuelthattheperformanceofvariousfoamscandifferconsiderably.ExamplesofsuchfuelsareIsopropylalcohol(IPA)andMethylEthylKetone(MEK).Itisthereforeessentialthattheuserchecksforanyunfavourableorunacceptablelossofefficiencywhenthefoamisusedagainstfiresinanyotherwater-misciblefuelsthanacetone.ThefiretestconditionsandproceduregiveninJ.2canbeusedinordertoachieveresultscomparativewithacetoneandrelatedrequirements.Otherfuelscanalsorequiretheuseofotherapplicationrates,bothhigherandlower,toachieverelevanttestdata.Otherfueltrayscanthenbeused,correctingtheamountoffueltoachievethesamefueldepthasspecifiedinI.2.ItisalsoessentialfortheusertonotethatfueldepthsandmethodsofapplicationotherthanthosespecifiedinI.2cancauseconsiderablelossofefficiency,andthesemattersshouldbecarefullyconsideredbytheuserwhenassessingthesuitabilityforparticularapplications.NOTE:SomeconcentratescomplyingwiththispartofEN1568canalsocomplywithotherpartsandthereforecanalsobesuitableforapplicationasmediumand/orhighexpansionfoams.
